Taking the Fight for Gun Safety to the Campaign Trail
Launched in 2021, Demand a Seat is an Everytown for Gun Safety Victory Fund educational training program designed to help bring the fight for gun safety to the campaign trail.
We’re training grassroots volunteers and gun violence survivors to take the next step in their advocacy: Running for office or working on campaigns with a purpose — to elect Gun Sense Candidates.
Because, in order to be part of the solution, you have to demand a seat at the table.

Application Process
How do I join?
Demand a Seat is open to anyone committed to running for office or working on campaigns with gun safety in mind. Program graduates who run for office will have the opportunity to apply for the Gun Sense Candidate distinction. To be eligible for Demand a Seat, applicants must be volunteers with their local Moms Demand Action or Students Demand Action chapters.
